Sanjeev P. Yadav is the founder of Banyan Tree Global, an award-winning strategic and public affairs consultancy, global accelerator and investor with offices in Boston, London, and Delhi. He is also a Senior Advisor at Chartwell Strategy Group. Sanjeev brings a diverse set of experiences in both the public and private sectors from trade/diplomacy and international affairs to investment management, innovation, skill development and India and UK market expertise. Banyan Tree Global most recently was one of four global finalists in the XPrize Rapid Reskilling Challenge, which was a 30-month competition to quickly reskill under-resourced workers for the digital revolution and place them into employment.
Prior to his current roles, Sanjeev Co-Founded and was previously Managing Partner of Banyan Tree Capital, a boutique multi-family office investment advisory firm. He was also a Vice Consul with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office posted at the British Consulate-General Boston and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI).
Previously, Sanjeev worked at Kensington Capital Holdings, LLC, a Single-Family Investment Office and also worked with investment consulting firm NEPC LLC, on the private markets’ due diligence team. Sanjeev is the founder of the MassIndia Partnership, a non-profit trade industry association that seeks to build trade and investment links between the New England states and India.
Sanjeev was appointed by Governor of Massachusetts Charlie Baker as a Trustee of the Board of Trustees of Bunker Hill Community College in 2017 to two terms and as a director to the Commonwealth Corporation Board of Directors in 2022. He is an Emeriti Trustee of the University of Vermont (UVM) Board of Trustees. He splits his time between Boston, MA and London, UK with his daughter Rayna.
UVM has always been home to the Yadav family as Sanjeev and his sister’s Anuradha ’96 (Emeriti Trustee) and Pramila ’94 MD ’99 practically grew up on campus as their father, Dr. Dharam P. Yadav, was a longtime Professor of Communications and Psychology at UVM for 42 years.
