Creating a Named Fund
Some gifts make an impact today. Others shape the future.
Why Create a Named Fund?
Creating your own fund at the University of Vermont is a powerful way to ensure that what you care about most — student opportunity, faculty excellence, athletic greatness, or groundbreaking research — continues to thrive, sometimes for generations to come.
You can create a fund that helps right away - we call these current-use funds. With a commitment of $25,000 or more, you can focus your philanthropy on a single area of campus and provide immediate support.
You can also create a fund that is a permanent source of support, called an endowment. By creating a new endowment with a commitment of $100,000 or more, you invest in UVM’s long-term stability, innovation, and excellence.
