Director

Sara Kinnamon Fritsch is the founder of Studio Tigress, a creative venture committed to offering always-beautiful, never-boring products and services that enrich our connections to one another and to time. Sara’s advisory clients vary across industries, scales and geographies, although they are all design-forward and many are vertically integrated to include their own manufacturing. Sara sits on the board of three direct to consumer product companies and a B2B medical device company. Prior to Studio Tigress, Sara was the President of Schoolhouse Electric and Supply, which she helped to scale and ultimately sell in 2021. Sara was the Portland (Oregon) Business Journal’s executive of the year in 2021.

Sara has stayed very connected to UVM since graduation, specifically via the Mechanical Engineering Department, the Track team and her Sorority (Alpha Chi Omega), earning the young alumni award in 2010. Sara was the commencement speaker for the UVM College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences in 2022. Sara is always proud to represent UVM on the west coast at various alumni and recruiting events. Sara earned her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UVM in 2000, along with a minor in Studio Art. Sara was a founding member of UVM’s Society of Automotive Engineers (which is still going today), was on the indoor and outdoor track teams all years, and was also Greek Woman of the Year in 1999.

Portland, Oregon is home to Sara and her husband Oliver, also a 2000 UVM Mechanical Engineering graduate, who is an executive at Nike. They have 2 teenage children - Winter and Penelope.
