His advocacy work has been featured in the Larner College of Medicine Blog and published in Nuvance Health's Global Health Diaries.
In his clinical years, Javier has continued to advance his commitment to community engagement, health education, and mentorship. He has presented at several academic conferences, including the UVM Health Equity Fair and the Nuvance Global Health Conference, where his work was recognized for its innovative approach to reducing health disparities.
Outside of medicine, Javier enjoys running marathons, surfing, flying as a private pilot, and creating art through painting and mixed media.
