Athletics Committee

Supporting UVM athletics through alumni engagement.



Purpose


The athletics committee supports programs and games anchored around UVM Athletics, including hosting regional game watches, milestone gatherings, student academic and athletic accomplishments recognition, and leveraging student-athlete career development through UVM Connect.

See below for specific examples of our initiatives.

  • This committee is focused on recognizing student and alumni accomplishments within academics and sports by sending individual congratulatory messages or communication from the committee as a whole.

  • This committee is dedicated to driving pre-game gathering engagement and game attendance of UVM alumni, families, and fans.

  • This committee supports the advancement of the University’s networking platform, UVM Connect, by using alumni-athletes as career resources for student-athletes and building affinity within the UVM Connect Athletics community group.

  • Support the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and charitable organizations that it supports.


Athletics Committee Commitments


  • Complete your UVM Connect profile to indicate your willingness to mentor students.

  • Join the Athletics group on UVM Connect and sports-specific sub group.

  • Reach out to two student-athletes on UVM Connect.

  • Support student-athletes by attending a regular season, playoff, or NCAA tournament game.

  • Support student-athletes by attending athletics-affiliated events such as pre-game gatherings, cooperate sponsorship events, Rally Awards, senior nights, and more.
