The top photo in this month's UVM Amplified was taken by UVM Extension’s Maple Specialist Mark Isselhardt at a Maplerama maple contest in Windam County in recent years. We spotted it over in the UVM Extension web pages, and our colleagues were kind enough to share it with us.

Here in Vermont, March is maple season, the time of year when people are tapping trees to boil down the sap into the syrup so many of us love and crave.
