Deborah McAneny '81

Deborah McAneny currently serves as, lead independent director of HFF, Inc., director of KKR Real Estate Finance Trust, Inc., THL Credit, Inc., RREEF Property Trust, Inc., RREEF America REIT II, and as an advisor to Benchmark Senior Living LLC, and trustee of the Rivers School.

Prior to that, she served as chief operating officer, Benchmark Senior Living, LLC., principal of Equinox Advisors, LLC., executive vice president and Policy Committee member for John Hancock Financial Services, CEO of Hancock Natural Resource Group, senior vice president of Real Estate Investment Group, president of John Hancock Real Estate Finance, chief financial officer of Hancock Realty Investors, and auditor with Arthur Anderson & Co. in Boston, prior to joining John Hancock.

She is a former trustee of the University of Vermont (2004-2016) and served as board chair from 2014 to 2016. McAneny earned a Bachelors of Science in business management from the University of Vermont in 1981. Married to David McAneny, she resides in Southborough, Massachusetts, and has three grown children.
