Donald H. McCree, III '83

Don McCree is vice-chairman and head of commercial banking at Citizens Financial Group, Inc. McCree retired as CEO of J.P. Morgan’s treasury services business, and prior to that was executive vice president of finance, focusing on treasury, corporate finance, and corporate mergers and acquisitions for the firm. 

Before that McCree was the head of the investment bank’s global credit business, and was also the head of wholesale risk management with responsibility for credit, market, operational, principal, and central risk policy. Prior to the merger of J.P. Morgan and Chase, McCree was in London, where he was joint head of investment banking for Chase. McCree joined Chemical Bank, a predecessor of Chase, in 1983.

McCree earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vermont in 1983, is married to Gabrielle McCree, and resides in Rye, New York.
