Why give a gift-in-kind?
Gifts-in-kind and gifts of property play a crucial role in enhancing the resources and capabilities of the University of Vermont. These contributions not only support our ongoing projects and research but also enrich the educational experiences of our students.
The Process
1. Determine the type of gift
Gifts can include personal property, real estate (land, homes, buildings), existing business interests, or unusual items. Each type of gift may require different procedures.
2. Get in touch with us
For all gifts-in-kind and gifts of property, it's necessary to contact us directly to discuss the steps, forms, and required documentation. Our contact information is below.
3. Complete the form
Complete the Gift-in-Kind and Gift of Property Form.
4. Signature and Approval
Once you've completed the form, sign it and send it to us. We'll review it and sign it, which will start the process of physically transferring the gift or property to UVM.

Visit Us
We are located in two historic buildings on campus: The UVM Alumni House and Grasse Mount. We encourage visitors to stop by and see us at Alumni House during regular business hours (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.). Parking is available at both buildings.

Office Hours
Our business hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. We are open during semester breaks and during the summer. We close for most major federal holidays.
